The development of youth arts in the Gaeltacht is one of the measures outlined in the Irish Language Action Plan 2018-2022 as part of the 20 Year Strategy for the Irish Language, launched by the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht (DCHG) in June 2018.

The program aims to progressively develop the provision of a comprehensive youth arts programme, inclusive of music, dance, song and oral arts classes throughout all Gaeltacht areas.

Logo Solution

We wanted to create something from the audio generated from a sean nós dancer’s steps using Artificial Intelligence.

Ealaín (na Gaeltachta) Teo. worked with Bad Dog to create a static and animated logo for this project. We decided to record the dance steps of Champion Sean Nós dancer, Ruadhan O Flatharta - we then animated the sound waves emanating form the logo to his award winning steps! Click the video above.
